Contrary to what John Chow’s blog featured recently the belief that Forums are a waste of time. I would have to slightly disagree with that. In my opinion, forums are an important learning resource for newbies as well as old timers. Though one must learn how to use their time wisely in order to not make it a waste of time. I will go in depth on how to use forums effectively to your advantage.

Active forums like Digitalpoint, Sitepoint are a quality resource. What can you do to use this resource as an advantage?

The number one advantage of a webmaster forum is that it helps making connections. The people who you have never met, never known that were in the same industry as you are. They are all at these active webmaster communities. You can get to know them well. From them you can get the words of your business around. You tell them because they are your friend and at some occation, they will tell their friends about it so and so forth.

Another advantage about the forums are that you learn from other people’s questions. I know there are multiple people who ask questions on forum. You probably was having the same issue, or you never heard of the issue. Now you know all about it. You can also ask your questions to public as well. Not just questions, but you can get critiques as well. Perhaps you launched a new website, and you would like to hear what others think. You can ask the community and people will respond to you with their criticism. Some are completely (ass****), but you just have to learn to ignore them.

Often times when you are on forum, you see your competitors. You can evaluate their strategies. You can track down their moves they have laid out for their product. This way you can catch upto them, or surpass them in business.

Well, as I was fixing the size of the images which ruined the entire design, I realized something very special. Balkhis was at the post count of 99 !!! Wow, It doesn’t even feel like that I have written that much. This post is the 100th post at Balkhis. This blog hit another benchmark point today and that was for comments. Well finally I have found time to write about what I have been doing the past couple days. Well my roommate is into Break Dancing battle (Soul Cypher 7). They were having a huge battle with all the crews from different places. I decided to sponsor it with Balkhis because they were looking for some promotion. I also realize there is not a quality resource for these guys online therefore I have decided to start on a project that deals with Hip – Hop Culture specially Break Dancing.

I dont know how many of you watch MTV, but there was a show called America’s Dance Show. It was on yahoo TV as well. One of the crews from there (Enigma) was at the battle. #1 Bboy in Florida was at the battle with his crew. I get to talk to all of these cool people and I also got a chance to take pictures with them. Lucky me got to sit with the judges when the battle was going on. I was also invited to a bigger battle by one of the judges who is the CEO of Funk Revival Entertainment. He invited me to attend a battle in Hollywood Florida. I might go there because it is just crazy to see all these moves.

Along with the Break Dancing Battle, there was a popping battle as well. This 9 year old ended up winning the battle. He whopped everyone’s ass. This kid can be the next Micheal Jackson! I was invited to a show of TSF that they were doing to promote American Cancer Society at North Regional Medical Center in Gainesville florida. I am always for donating and helping others for a good cause. I decided to donate some money and buy a shirt also. I am doing this review, so you guys go ahead and help the American Cancer Society by donating. All the donations go toward researching for a cure of cancer which can save alot of lives.

Alright everyone, as you all know last night this blog was reverted back to april 1st in the process of a server transfer. We moved to a more powerful server, but it caused me loosing about 30 subscribers in one night just because the blog was reverted. I think I will get my readers to subscribe again hopefully. I just wanted to apologize for all the inconvenience.

I caught it this morning because I was extremely busy for the past two days hence the low activity on the blog from my end. I sponsored a Break Dancing Battle on Behalf of Balkhis and my new project that is going to be done hopefully by late June. I have some exciting pictures and videos for you guys which I will update later on the days as well as a Tip Sunday post coming after this one.
