Balkhis - Vision For Success

Reasons for failure in online business

As people hear success stories online, they get an inspiration, and they start some sort of business online. Many people also go ahead and quit their day time job. While all this is happening, they do not take the job seriously. Because there is no manager supervising the shift, beginners tend to think that online work is do at your own pace, so they can take forever to finish one contract, but that is not the case. Working from home is one of the luxuries, but you have to understand that if you do not spend that 8 hour online which you would’ve spent on work, you will not achieve success.

While they are not concentrating on business online because they get distracted into talking to friends on phone, or such they start wondering why they are not making profit. Well I wonder why they are not. Another thing is that beginners tend to be very impatient.

Patience and hardwork is a key to success online which requires alot of time to build up. So if you are getting into business, make sure you have your mind set and you are willing to work the same amount of hour.

Another reason why beginners often experience failure in the beginning is because they join the industry to make money. If your sole purpose is to make money, you will not make money because you must enjoy what you are doing in order to produce quality product, and quality product is valuable.

Lack of investment also plays a role in the failure of a new business online. When beginners start, they tend to ignore the fact of investment. Now i am not suggesting to blindly invest a big amount, but still invest a little because you need to invest money to get money back. (The sooner you learn this, the better it is for you)

Now i am writing this post because i see this case in very many teenagers. Some are even my close friends, as they hear and see that i have made tons of money online, they all try and often fail and ask me. Therefore i decided to write this, hopefully it helps a few of you.

WordPress posts and visual field

This post is specifically for starters who are not very familiar with wordpress. I am not going to teach you how to write a post in wordpress admin panel, but i want to emphasize the point of disabling the feature of Visual Codes. I am sure when you login to your wordpress admin panel, and try to write a post or a page, it gives you two tabs.

Visual and Code

Well, Visual is good for you if you are never going to post anything on your blog other than images, raw text and url, but anything else it will screw your codes up. For instance, you want to make a text box in your post. It will not let you do that. On the first try it would work, but once you try to re-edit it or you save the post and come back, every thing will be screwed.

I noticed this issue long back because in my older blog i try writing posts and paste codes in it, and it will always change so when i tell my users to copy and paste the codes, they get the wrong codes. Even though i loved all the rich features it had to offer me, i just went ahead and disabled the visual field.

It made my life so much easy because i edit my post multiple times, and save and preview alot so now it saved me from going back and putting the all the codes back and fixing those.

I was looking in the wordpress website, and this question has been asked multiple times, but some posts are really old and apparently wordpress admin panel has been a little changed. I remember one of the moderators telling the users to go in Wordpress admin panel > Options > writing, but unfortunately if you are using the latest version you will not find an option to disable that from there, but where you will find the option to disable the visual area is if you go to Users tab in wordpress admin panel, and they have it in small font the option to disable visual field.

If you have a little bit of html skills, i would recommend you to do this because it will make your life alot easier.

Paid Advertising, Is it the Best?

Paid Advertising is a very common method used by webmasters online. There are many ways of paid advertising including Paid Link, Adwords, Blog Posts, Banner ads etc etc etc. In my experience, Paid Advertising is proven to give results. Is it always good results, Not Always.

A while back Google launched its anti-paid links campaign, which caused multiple sites to be banned. Why because they were paying to manipulate ranking in google by buying high pagerank links. Since then, many webmasters has stopped this technique and are not promoting as much. While, that is a safe way because you will never be ban from google, but slowly and surely you will loose your traffic.

Now does it mean Google will ban all sites that buy or sell links. NO ! [.... Ful Story in the post]

Web Business 101 for Beginners

Interestingly today i realized how hard it is to explain about web business to someone who is completely unaware of this world. I was at my part time job (Publix, Grocery store), a colleague of mine started a conversation which some how got pointed toward the directions of internet. We started talking and i started telling him about how online business is and how it works. It was a complete shock how difficult it is to understand for some people.

Therefore i decided to write this post for those who are new or just trying to learn a little about how web business works. First of all, the key thing in online business is trust and reputation. Without these two, it is extremely hard for one to survive.

Starting with the fact that you need a well designed website, but there is much more to do before making a website. Such as registering a domain, and getting webhosting. I didn’t think i would need to mention these points until today. People think making websites is like geocities, or angelfire. I asked the person and they are like yeah i have a website at geocities. I am like what is your domain (Answer: Blank). Well a domain name is a name that you want your website to be called with an extension such as .com, .net, .org, .info etc etc.
