I use adsense on 90% of my sites not only because high CPC but also because ads are relevant.

I think the key is to only display ads related to your blog. Nobody wants to click make money ads on a celebrity blog, ayt? I see some blogs who do like this. They display ads not related to their blog and they almost cry saying they don’t make money with their ads. It is better to have low ads with higher CTR than with a lot of ads with no click at all, right?

I’ve rejected a good number of ads that appeared on my site. Some were just so unprofessional, that it would make me look like the fool. Also, a big problem I’ve noticed is that some of these graphic artists think that 75K banners are fine. So be cautious of the file size and its impact on the page load time.

Yes adsense are much more relevant than Adbrite

one reason i continue to stick with google adsense (and only adsense) right now, is the fact that their ads are pretty safely family friendly (at least last time i checked). what i hate though is that my current crop of ads are terribly irrelevant. sucks.

The readers cares whether or not the ads are friendly and related to the content – as Syed said in the post, the reason why the readers return is because the whole blog / site is related to the niche / topic. Take this consistency away and u will lose readers
