When I first started my blog I too avoided using it until about a few months ago when I changed it after I got tired of having too many categories.

Yeah, I usually just changed Uncategorized to “General”. It works quite well!

Great tip and a good idea. In the past I have just tried to avoid using it, though sometimes after saving a post I see I forgot and have to edit. This is a much better way to avoid the problem.

I think its not important change Uncategorized Category to other category if our post just tell about our live.

I was thinking about it the day,was actually wondering why it was named uncategories and why some of my posts goes there.Thanks for bringing this up,other makes more sense.Dashing over to my admin panel to change it.

It never struck me that you should rename the uncategorized category. I think there is an option where you can specify a default category. On my blog, I do have a category under which I file mosts of my posts. But it may not be possible for all blogs. Nice tip Syed.
