WordPress posts and visual field
This post is specifically for starters who are not very familiar with wordpress. I am not going to teach you how to write a post in wordpress admin panel, but i want to emphasize the point of disabling the feature of Visual Codes. I am sure when you login to your wordpress admin panel, and try to write a post or a page, it gives you two tabs.
Visual and Code
Well, Visual is good for you if you are never going to post anything on your blog other than images, raw text and url, but anything else it will screw your codes up. For instance, you want to make a text box in your post. It will not let you do that. On the first try it would work, but once you try to re-edit it or you save the post and come back, every thing will be screwed.
| I noticed this issue long back because in my older blog i try writing posts and paste codes in it, and it will always change so when i tell my users to copy and paste the codes, they get the wrong codes. Even though i loved all the rich features it had to offer me, i just went ahead and disabled the visual field. |
It made my life so much easy because i edit my post multiple times, and save and preview alot so now it saved me from going back and putting the all the codes back and fixing those.
I was looking in the wordpress website, and this question has been asked multiple times, but some posts are really old and apparently wordpress admin panel has been a little changed. I remember one of the moderators telling the users to go in WordPress admin panel > Options > writing, but unfortunately if you are using the latest version you will not find an option to disable that from there, but where you will find the option to disable the visual area is if you go to Users tab in wordpress admin panel, and they have it in small font the option to disable visual field.
If you have a little bit of html skills, i would recommend you to do this because it will make your life alot easier.

This resource is to help me if I ever need a guide to look back to, and it is help my fellow webmasters.

Nice article, i am still in that stage of going back and copying the whole code over again.
I think this is a great post. I usually work in the CODE version mainly because I do the ads and stuff but VISUAL is good for people who arent as html or tech-savvy
