Alright well, I was informed by a cousin of mine about this freebie. By the way, He is also responsible for my success in this industry because 5 years ago, he was the person who pulled me into designing if it hasn’t for him I would still be running around like rest of the teenagers.
This deal basically lets you register one free domain at Register.com
Now I haven’t register a domain yet from them so can’t review the service, and I will probably not register any either because I already have too many sitting in my account and if I register another one, it will just go to waste, so I will let this offer be useful to those who are really interested.

Hey, I am Syed Balkhi, The guy who is behind Balkhis Inc. I entered the industry back in 2002 not knowing a single thing. I barely spoke English at that time. In the past six years, my language barrier has been eliminated. Aside from English, now I also speak html, and php. Along with the languages I have also managed to master a few arts. Art of web-designing started when I first entered. Messing around with photoshop, I learned how to create my first web design. Now I founded a web designing firm Uzzz Productions. After running numerous amount of websites in various niche, I have mastered the art of web-development. Now I am compiling a resource of what I already know, and what I am learning on this blog. This resource is to help me if I ever need a guide to look back to, and it is help my fellow webmasters.

It’s not cool. Yes it’s free for the first year but for the next year it will cost you too much.. It is expensive. And as far as I know you can’t push the domain to another registrar.
i do know that register is an expensive company. I am not certain about transferring the domain to other registrar .. can you prove your source there…
Thanks
Thanks for the info. At first i was pretty excited that they were offering free domain. But it seems that its not that good. Well buying a domain is the only option
I try to keep all my domains at the same place. Have to make as many things in life as easy to keep track of as you can.
Even I would have loved to keep both my domains in the same place but I had first registered a domain with one company and then when I wanted to register a .in domain, I had to register with someone else!
So do you suggest doing this or not? It just seems a little suspect.
I definately say if you want a free domain then try it. I found the offer floating around the web therefore thought I should expose it on my blog.
I am personally a fan of domainsite… A thing I would do is register and then transfer.
Let me know how it works out for you..
I am presently with network solutions. after reading your comment about domainsite, went to the site and they have a price and service comparison of the top five registrars compared against their price and services provided. Very cool. I called network solutions and they matched the price…yes from 34.95 to 7.99 per domain. Even so I had them e-mail me the auth. codes and unlock them. Domainsite has some very cool stuff like google tools and lots more. Thanks.
glad you like it chuck.
i am little bit confused are they providing at 7.99 ???
As far as i know they are charging @$35 for first year
can u please clear my confusion
Zk
I think its legitimate for sure. Its most probably that they are hoping you will renew the domain with them for the forthcoming years.
But how can they afford to give away a domain for free to everyone? Something looks fishy
Thats a pretty good deal. Register.com has been around for a long time and they can afford to run a promotion like this but I am sure that the domain is set to auto-renew!
It sounded like an good deal, and im pretty sure if you know about domains you can make big bucks of off them. But without clearing up if you ccan transfer the domains or not would be useless most of the imtes.
Register.com is pricey I personally prefer namecheap
