How To Be An Expert Consultant
Consulting is a profession that a lot of bloggers do as a side job. I do it a little bit more than on the side because I have a number of clients that I am working with and ensuring that they rank well in search engines, giving them advices and suggestions as their business grow. If you consider yourself an expert in the industry or have a lot of experience in a specific industry then you should consider consulting.
Consulting is just a few extra bucks, but you have to prove yourself to the client. I mean all you have to do is talk. You need to know how to present yourself to the client or a board of directors. Some people might think it is hard, but really it is not. I go by the following quote:
“Just Stay one step ahead of your client.”
You do that and you will be considered an expert. Companies hire me to present their idea to a group of investors or a board of investors because a lot of companies have a hard time convincing the investors to invest. I know the secrets of that, or so called secrets of that. So here are my tricks!
Make a Bold Statement
At the start of each presentation, you need to make a bold statement. A strong Pitch that will get the investors interested. Those who can’t do that learn how to highlight the important part of the campaign. Think to yourself if you can define the whole campaign in one or two sentences. If you can’t then this campaign is not going to work.
Explain their Benefits
You need to tell them what they get out of this deal. People really don’t care what is your benefit. Everyone wants to know what they are getting out of the deal. So you need to explain the profits, and stick with the profits. Once you explain them the benefits, they would be eager to know how this will work.
A Very Brief Explaination
You need to give a very short description of how it is going to work. Why? Because you want them to be interested. You make it long, it will be boring. But when you make it short, they will ask questions. If one ask questions, the others will get more interested. That is a psychological fact.
Conclusion with a BOLD Statement
End it with a strong pitch. You want to make sure that these investors give your client the money. Because your client will be paying you. Not only will that make you look good, but you will succeed.
Each time you make a good impression you will get more referrals.
Now one of the main quality as a consultant you need to have is calm and patient. Because you will have to explain the same thing over and over. You need to know your topic inside out, and have different ways of explaining it because not every human mind works the same way.
Well Why Am I telling you this? Well this will make you an extra 60,000 a year. Or at least that is what this is doing for me. You get paid to talk on hourly rates. Not a bad thing for a talkative person like me.

How much do consultants usually get paid? I’ve been thinking of talking to one but would like to know how much one would be before I start taking a serious look at them.
It goes by on hourly rate. Some charge $50 / hour others more. I personally charge $85 / hour for consulting, but if you want me to give a presentation, then we would have to discuss privately.
It is really a good price per an hour.But to make a pretty sum of money the consultant needs many clients.That also needs time.
Consulting is very hard to do, but if you are good at it, its definitely a great job to have as it can be very rewarding

I got interested if consulting services are wanted by the people in the time of the recession.
I’m not there yet, but I would guess one of the toughest parts would be to know where to draw the line in terms of proving your worth and not giving too much away for free. I do computer repair and I’m always having people ask for favors (only they don’t put it that way). People with skills should be compensated and consulting is part of that.
I think the profession of money expert is interesting and wanted in any times.
If you’re able to deliver your pitch (which needs to be perfect) with a great confidence and make people belive that if you were them you’d definitely buy stuff from yourself you’re golden. But if you lack the social skills necessary to do that, maybe you should have someone else do it for you.

To make a bold statement is a bright idea. It really shows that you are a step ahead of your client and therefore, the client himself trusts you because he thinks about you as an expert in your field. Consulting is also good to earn some extra cash. I need to gather more experience before even trying to think about that…

I am a consultant and the number one factor for success is TRUST. You can have all of the expertise in the world but if your clients don’t trust the fact that you have their business’ best interest at heart then you will struggle. The best consultants don’t have to toot their own horn, their clients do it for them and recommend their services often. This builds a powerful lead gen stream. Is there any lead more qualified then one generated through word of mouth marketing?
Lastly, the beautiful thing about internet marketing consulting is that we can show down to the penny exactly what a clients ROI is. That speaks volumes and leaves you, or anyone else no room to hide.

Wow thats alot of extra income for a year. Thats great work. It seems pretty easy just talking to people and telling them what you already know. Is it as easy as it sounds?
