Balkhis - Vision For Success

Making money online? Is that a career…..

Dear Readers, I would like to thank you for reading this post. I highly value your feedback and would like to know more about my readers. Follow me on Twitter

I know when I was reading the career list, I never saw one that said making money online. Our world is still in the old days and stuck with Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers and other daily work day jobs as a great career. I mean I am in college, the next person I talk to is either pre-med, pre-law, or engineering major. Now we all know half of these people won’t even go onto become a doctor, or a lawyer, but they have these false hopes. That is given to them by their parents. Now when was the last time you heard a parent telling their kids, Hey you are going to be the next online millionaire. Heck a next online billionaire.

I mean believe me when I say this, alot of people still think that the Internet is risky. Hell half the world is running and relying on internet. Online stores are open 24/7 without the fear of robbery at gun point, and people think that dot com businesses are bound to fail.

Ever tried taking an economics class. First thing they tell you is that dot com businesses doesn’t have a very established platform. Well that is because these people don’t even consider that making money online is an option. An easy option which alot of people are now realizing it, and those who have realized it are making a living now.

I mean people from the countries that have high unemployment rates. Why don’t they have a major in colleges called Making Money Online. Heck Search Engine Optimization. I know what a major is Graphic Designing. These people go technology institutes for 4 years, and they learn all about graphic designing. Their skills are undescribable and imagination is beyond the limits, but they still end up working at a company for a salary.

But no one ever think about hey I can make more money doing these designs and not have to go to work. A graphic designer gets paid 25,000 rupees every month in Pakistan if that much. Rough Estimate for a beginner. Now converting that to US Dollars it only becomes $357. Now they work for entire month in which they produce good 3 – 4 sites. Even more sometimes. Their skill level is well beyond mine and they do great work. Now if one of them just wait to think for one moment and say hey, I can get a contract online and make 4 designs for $150 and make more money than this. How many of you would go for a custom unique good looking design for $150. I know I would… because that is dirt cheap for a custom website design.

They are only held back because no one ever told them about this sort of thing. No one told them about making money online. It could be the parents who can take the initiating step. They can tell their kids that. I don’t know if any organizations are interested in this, but I believe that big organizations, big companies can also put together a campaign like this to eliminate poverty in the countries with high unemployment rate. Hopefully Bill and Linda Gates foundation is seeing this post. I would go and be a speaker.

Take a look at a corner book store. Do you have it in your country aside from U.S. Come on my Indian and Asian audience. Well I am only referring to these countries because the $ converting to these currency is alot. So now if all of these owners instead of going out of business can sell their books either online on ebay, and in store. They will make good profit. I say ebay because they can get good shipping because Amazon have standard shipping cost, and shipping internationally cost more.

When will the society change and start recognizing you, me, us as a well hardworking human being. I mean I get alot of comments like oo you do the lazy work. “I never see you working”. Your work is so easy. Comments like those. Well if I make good 50k – 80k income a year, there is nothing wrong with my career. I make more than an average american family.

If there are parents who are reading this post please go talk to your kids and explain that they have this option also. Get them to work online while they are going through school rather than going and working at a local store for $8 / hour.

Also if you are reading this and want to support the cause, please make a post about this topic on your blog. This is Balkhis attempt to cut down unemployment rate around the world and show the people a new Vision for Success.

Little to no over head cost, you do the work at your convince, and you get out what you put in. For me online is the perfect job! It is not that easy to be successful online but life is that not easy. Great post, however these people need to go out an get it.

I think half of these people were never introduced to this. While it is hard to make money and be successful from american standards, but from these countries standard, if you make 300$ a month you are making more than an average factory worker because I beleive at a current exchange rate it equals to 20208.57 PKR. Now making that a month is not hard. They can do manual directory submission services and so much more.

I see where your stance is now. I think you should start the revolution! Have this be there gateway to their online world. You should take sometime to reach out to them or create a section on this blog that has a job board that they can check for directory submissions, article submissions, ect…

I cannot target this online because this blog is not grown. I am talking about speaking in actual places. Going in person and then speaking.

This would need some funding, but I believe the results will be great.

I have to agree with you on this one. The biggest plus is convenience. You blog when you want to and not when someone wants you to. It can be successful depending on how popular you are but the success rate for the six figure income is low. But like you said, people that want it need to be motivated enough to go out and get it.

Nice perspective, I’m sure these people have the skills to accomplish what you have stated. I think the hard part is that Step you need to do to get there. When you have been working for a while, you are used to live according to the money you make. If you want to start working from internet, you can’t just abandon your job, and if you don’t put yourself 100% into your internet career, some chances you won’t succeed.
I like your idea of working over internet instead of 8$/hour job for your kids.

Great post!

while you will not make 6 figures online, but you can still make 5 figures in US$. If you see what I am saying. For these people 300 – 400$ a month is successful.

I would consider #300-$400 a month a supplemental income. It would get very difficult to survive comfortably on that amount although making 5 figures is not such a difficult task for more people who do it full time and are 100% committed.

You made some very good points in this post, the major problem is from the parents.I said that because here in South Korea its the parents that decides what their child will study in school.Take Nigeria for instance most youth prefer to travell out of the country to do menial jobs than doing something for themselves, these are well educated guys.It is that fear of the unknown, not being sure if you will make it working for yourself so they decide to work for someone and earn peanuts as salaries.I can make a full post out of this topic.

Nice, I think it is that most adults now did not have the option for online entrepreneurism. There was not much known about it and the entry costs were more than they are now.

what you said in this post is very much interesting.its due to generation gap..for many years people have been to “normal jobs”. They did not know about making money online. I am sure that gradually these type of thinking will definitely change.

Not many of them knows about making money online … there is a programmer living in my society and he doesn’t knows abt all this … he asked me few weeks back and i explained him with few points and told him to read few MMO blogs …

very well written Syed … and i will surely share this one to as many ppl i come across and who ask me abt my field.

I liked that point “Now we all know half of these people won’t even go onto become a doctor, or a lawyer, but they have these false hopes”

Thats the main reason i was not interested in that much higher studies. :p

I saw that tyna. While I see your opinion and it is not easy to be successful online, I would like to ask what is successful. The people I am talking about aren’t already successful, so a step up from what they are is considered successful. I can name 10 different ways which can easily allow them to work 8 hours day / 5 days a week, which they are doing right now if not more.

They will be sitting on their computer and make 300 USD.

Syed, the ‘unsuccessful’ people that you talk of are generally not even literate enough to use people’s services leave alone create their own services. I live in India and I know how grim the situation is. Lemme give you an example. On my blog, I had written this post on urbanfonts.com, a site that gives you free fonts. I sent out the URLs to a few of my col friends(all computer engineers in the making). 7 outta 10 people gave me this reply, “Sahi hai yaar. Kaise kiya?” (”Looks good. How did you do it?”). I mean the whole damn article was on how I did it and still people as educated as engineers don’t get a clue!!! The really unsuccessful, unemployed masses don’t even know to use a comp properly!

Even if a professional decides to put up his services ol, say for eg setup a Deviant Art page, people will just visit his page for fun but never buy his services!!

A few weeks ago, my elder cousin sis got her first placement in a company. My family members commented that she was the first of my gen to start earning. I said I was already earning on the net. Those people were like, “ya But her earnings are respectable”. WTF!! Seems like my earnings are unethical!!

The mindset of the people needs to change and change quickly. Really nice topic that you have brought up. I have been trying to convince people for months now. But the more I speak the more I look like a sales guy trying to sell himself! Hope you carry on the good work.

well, i can see where they are coming from.A job outside the internet world is more secure… your paycheck is guaranteed, on the other hand the internet does run its risks, you can start up several online business and try many things, but they may all lead you to downfall… you gotta really know what you’re dong.. most people don’t .

I agree with you on the secure part, sure just like in the outside world there are stpes you go through to get that job. You go through training to learn that job and you can do the same for making online you just have to practice with it and really focus on what you really want o do.

I think making money online could be one of the best jobs out their, it has perfect timming seeing how you can make up your own work hours, and their no age requirements. You can be 75 and stil be doing this or even 15. Maybe the world may llok at this as an risky bussiness, but from experience i can definately say that its way better then working at subway from 5 to 11 everyday making $7:50 and hour.

Thats true. I forgot to mention the flexibility of picking your own hours that comes with working for yourself.

Liked your point about having flexible working hours. Income online grows at a much faster rate. But you won’t get like pension after you retire! (If you retire ofcourse)

I’m 15 and hoping that in 2 years time I can have worked hard enough to gain some good followers
