Pimp My Blog Show – May 2008
Here is the Pimp My Blog Show for May 2008. Last month’s winner was Guru aka q4news on this blog. Due to the contest and other reasons, Guru and I couldn’t communicate well enough to get the design done, but It is done within the time limit that I set. Last month, Puneet’s VolCar Blog got pimped, and this month the lucky site that will be getting a completely pimped up wordpress design is:
Guru asked for a theme that looks simple for his dad’s blog. He wanted the prominent color to be gold. Apparently I didn’t come up with what he wanted, but according to him, He liked this new idea in a different way. Once he said he likes it, I asked for his permission to begin coding. Then It took me a while to code it because I was very busy with personal matters as well as expanding Uzzz Productions and taking on more clients. The work was partially coded by one of Uzzz members.

Hey, I am Syed Balkhi, The guy who is behind Balkhis Inc. I entered the industry back in 2002 not knowing a single thing. I barely spoke English at that time. In the past six years, my language barrier has been eliminated. Aside from English, now I also speak html, and php. Along with the languages I have also managed to master a few arts. The design has a well organized feel to it. Not sure if you noticed or if it is just my browser but that last post listed in the recent blog posts box lines up a little outide the box on the bottom. I dont really understand the two separate columns with the same categories listed in each of them either.
Overall though it looks great. I like that subscribe icon for the rss feed.
Bruce as the design was uploaded yesterday, I am sure Guru will change his sidebar and put more there. Those were the default that I put there.

you should manipulate the randomizer eh.
I like the rss button in the design,please Syed what can i do about my rss button,to be more noticeable.
your rss button flows with your design. If you change it in any way it won’t look good.
I second what Syed said but maybe change the color from a gray to make it like a darker black so that it is more visible because currently the gray on gray just blends in for me.

Thanks for the great design Syed. My dad liked it very much too. I might do a little bit of changes to the design then and there. But your credits will remain at the bottom forever.
