I don't agree with you that the recession is restricted only to people in the US. Slowly and steadily it will affect other nations too. I hate to admit it but a major chunk of India's still emerging IT sector depends on companies in the US. Not that it will affect our incomes. Recessions, by their very nature, means a loss of income for most companies. This normally leads to the companies trying to compensate for this, they could in fact start spending more on advertising.
