Balkhis - Vision for success

How much is my Blog worth?

Jun 14, 2008  Syed Balkhi  Random Blurbs

Well from the same people who brought How Rich I will be in the next 10 years, they have introduced another fun concept which asks How much is my Blog worth. While this is just a fun tool, I kinda liked the results that I got.

Well the process starts with you answering 19 simple questions (some are stats, so be prepared to calculate averages). Once, I was done my blog was worth a whopping

1,659,670

Try out what is your blog worth

I don’t know how my blog is worth so much when it is relatively new, but I think because this blog generates me alot of business toward Uzzz Productions which can be a cause.

I am looking forward to hear your results.

O btw: I will take this offer to sell this blog to any user if they want it within 72 hours.

It says mine is worth over $111,000. Anyone interested in purchasing it from me?

I always wonder how they come up with these figures and what is their baseline for the pricing.

Unfortunately when your selling anything the buyers determine the value. These tools are always fun to play around with though.

My blog is worth $423,530! Why would someone buy my blog for that much?

Imagine what the figures generated for sites like JohnChow n Shoemoney would be! Imagine TechCrunch with it’s 780K feed readers!!

John Chow posted his blog and its worth 2 million. I think even though Balkhis is relatively new, I got alot of customers to Uzzz through Balkhis which can be the reason why the value of this blog is high.

I think that most of these are just estimates. A good estimate is to use the price per RSS reader and based on current sales the average is around $25-$35 per RSS reader.

Mine was around $300,000 but my blog is a year old, has 300 posts and averages 150,000 hits a month although the RSS count is somewhat low!

Maybe you should also develop an algo that calculates a blog’s worth! ‘Balkhis blog value calculator’. Should get you a lot of publicity!
