I lost 632 subscribers after April Fool
Alright guys, yesterday’s post was a April Fool. A lot of you caught me, and a lot of you thought it was real because I built it up with the post before on when to quit. I received 29 emails yesterday asking me whether it was true that if I am quitting. I really appreciate all the love and care. You guys should know that I wouldn’t quit, unless there is a freaking big circumstance that is stopping me from blogging.
But I think a lot of people fell for the Joke because today as I logged into feedburner, I saw myself being short of 632 subscribers. Now it might be a glitch from feedburner’s end, but It didn’t seem like it.
I want to ask you did I succeed in this condition, or did I fail?
Because my succcess is a failure yet my failure is my success.
The joke apparently worked, so I got what I was going for, but in order to get there, I lost this many subscribers.
Haha, I have no doubt that these people will be back.

What a number! 632 subscribers in one day. It seems that people treat your posts seriously
Omg, that is really something to think about if the April Fool is the only reason. Your post was really serious, and i think there is big possibility that people who are not aware of April Fool day really quit. I even caught myself on big surprise while reading your post…
I really wish people would stop playing April Fools Day pranks online. It doesn’t scale well. It works great face to face with someone you know well. It doesn’t work so well when spread via the Web, via e-mail, or via TV or radio broadcasts.
I suspected as much, but the preparation that went into the prank made it very believable.

I hope it’s not another April Fool pranks,
losing 632 subscribers means your success in your April Fool pranks, yet it’s a big loss…
At least the reader should realize after seeing our comment on the previous post…
I can’t believe so many people actually believed you could quit
LOL that is funny, you tricked 632 people. However how many of those people are from a place where they really don’t know about the April fools day joke thing? Or they forgot what day it was, but it is still funny.
I guess the way I built it up was tricky…
Feedburner does bug out so hope for the best. Wait a day or two to confirm the loss.
I will confirm whether it was bug or not in a few days.
Your quantity of subscribers showed you were success. But you realized it when you lost some. You failure helped you to see your success. But the way didn’t stop.It is going on.
are you sure it was 632 subscriber.I can’t believe so many people actually believed you could quit.
Duuuude – ouch. Hopefully feedburner was just acting buggy. Have you been able to confirm it this morning? Even if it wasn’t a bug, I’m pretty sure they’ll return this week!
Every action has an opposite reaction!
This is hilarious. This is the only April fools joke I have read that the readers took action.
LOL….it looks like Feedburner has its own set of pranks for April Fool. Practically almost everyone lost 50% of their subscribers in a matter of days.
Haha! I can’t believe this, you lost 632 subscribers. Have some come back yet?
My my my.. what happened? I tot you really want to leave your PR4 blog Syed. Glad it was a joke. I tot want to unsubscribe too. Luckily, I didn’t. Maybe, it is a glitch there. Better hope so. Or else, this can be a one successful april fool post.
I bet it’s just a Feed glitch, unless tons of people lost their sense of humor.
Ouch…that is a big chunk of people to lose.
That’s why I avoid doing any April Fools stuff, I think its a bad combination for business to mix with personal fun stuff. I think April Fools can be fun to do with friends… but like I said.. yeah it doesn’t mix with business, hehe.
Till then,
Jean
