Travelling East to West?

As soon as I saw this on Yahoo, I was like Wooaah!! At first, I thought of an Alien movie, but no this is in real life. A developing company in California is working on a hybrid car that can possibly give 330mpg. Thats about 10 times more than my car on highway. Well this vehicle is being classified as a motorcycle with 3 wheels with a complete futuristic sci-fi movie look.
Now, this is expected to be out in late 2008. Hopefully everything works out and this private company sells this project to a bigger company like Honda, or BMW and then it can be offered to public cheaper.
I might be getting it as my next vehicle from my online earnings :p though I do wonder how good the pick up of this car will be.
Any thoughts fellas?

Do I need to use car driving license or just motorcycle driving licence?
I believe it would be a motorcycle license because the company is classifying this as a 3 wheel motorcycle. Not sure though.
I think I read somewhere that a motorcycle license will do mainly because of how this is built.
I hope they are going to be able to manufacture this without having to pass some of the cost to the consumers.
yeah thats why I said hopefully a bigger company like BMW or Honda buys it so it will be cheaper for consumers :p
I don’t think this is the kind of car you get if your looking for “pick up” – I just wonder how it would do in a crash like the one you recently posted on.
yea that is the concern of alot of people… safet., but only time will tell. Usually not many hybrid cars have alot of pick up especially this custom one I saw yesterday on yahoo that can pass ferrari, and lamborghini too.

That car looks amazing. I have seen that on Yahoo too. I doubt such cars like these will be available to the masses as long as production costs are not reduced.
It looks great and the way the gas prices are rising, we desperately need a car of such fuel efficiency.If anyone finds out when it comes out and how much it will be please let me know, becuase i need a good car.
