Mega Wednesday – Moniker (Adtech Miami 2008)
It is time for the mega wednesday. Well as you all know today I visited Adtech, so these shirts are the ones that I got from there. I got to know alot of companies that I never heard of. The company I am about to represent is a well known around the domaining industry, and I have known about them since I started being a webmaster. This company is no other but Moniker.com

They gave me multiple shirts basicall 2 of each sizes, so 6. I guess they had alot of them and today was the last day. The guy was like do you want more. I am like sure. I gave one to my mother, sister, brother and have rest for myself
They also had a drawing for poker table. A huge poker table, now if I win that all I would need is a nice set of chips and cards with Balkhis logo on it
You just drop your busienss card and win. Moniker is a bit expensive, but they have really good customer service, so they are well worth the extra dollar you pay for registration. They also have discounts for big domainers.
Well for those of you who think their advertisement goes a waste of time, It actually doesn’t because when I was coming back from seattle, I was wearing Aviva Directory’s Shirt all my trip, so everyone at the airport got to see them.
I also like to wear Market Leverage Shirts that they got me because they fit very well because I usually wear hat with all the clothes. I get to match when I wear Market Leverage.
You can also get Free Promotion at Balkhis.

Hey, I am Syed Balkhi, The guy who is behind Balkhis Inc. I entered the industry back in 2002 not knowing a single thing. I barely spoke English at that time. In the past six years, my language barrier has been eliminated. Aside from English, now I also speak html, and php. Along with the languages I have also managed to master a few arts. Art of web-designing started when I first entered. Messing around with photoshop, I learned how to create my first web design. Now I founded a web designing firm Uzzz Productions. After running numerous amount of websites in various niche, I have mastered the art of web-development. Now I am compiling a resource of what I already know, and what I am learning on this blog. This resource is to help me if I ever need a guide to look back to, and it is help my fellow webmasters.

Very nice shirt Syed. Someone needs to start sending me some of them
Perhaps you should put a page on your blog also which says free promotion. Run a banner on your header that links to that. Promote it a little, and it will work
But I believe that works only if you live in the US. I mean if you live outside of the US, why would a company pay for the extra shipping to send you free shirts.
(applicable only to not-so-famous bloggers like me!)
I mean you can be right yet you can be wrong. There are many other bloggers who were not famous when they started but they are famous now and they are not in U.S
Darren Rowse of Problogger is an example.
I am just saying it is worth a try and some company might send it your way
Sometimes if you get in good contacts with some companies they get nice and send gifts to make the relationship strong and have you as their regular client…
As you know Syed I am making some changes to my blog to “tune it up” just a bit. A lot of it I have learned and adapted a little from some of your posts here and by chatting with you.
This actually just might be something I do in the future right along with a few more things that are yet to come.
I am glad that you have found my blog helpful Bruce
That actually does work. I had that page and I was sent quite a few shirts every so often along with pens and the like. Try it out AD.
Making promotion outside the box, I wonder how many people went on the website after seeing your T-shirt. It’s very good for the company you are representing because at least the logo or name will stay in some people’s head when then see it in the streets.
yeah this is a great way to market your company offline.
Man your just known by everybody even the biggest of the companys. I would’nt be wrong if you become famous as bill gates one day,
Syed,
I am glad you wear the matching MarketLeverage set! Are you going to Affiliate Summit in Boston? We will be exhibiting there, I look forward to meeting you!
~Debby
Ah Debby I wish I could go. I was ready to purchase it until they told me that there is an age limit of 21. And I am not 21, so I can’t attend it. I asked them if they can just give me a badge that says under 21, so the bars won’t serve me any drinks but no. I guess not this year.
MarketLeverage really knows who’s their real bread and butter. It is nice to see a company who takes the time to engage their users. Looks like they have great people and great business practice work for them. Nice job ML.
i liked the way of promotion … by products (tshirts) …
and m waiting to know the next PIMP my Blog winner
winner has already been announced. He doesn’t really comment on the blog very often, so only he can come here and introduce himself.
I will put the video and the new design by June 20th
i think the current contest have kept u a bit busy to get the new design up soon … its k but … i know will b announcing it soon
Nice t-shirt….good way of marketing too!!
Is there something that you didn’t get from the conference, i mean you even got clothes what else do you need.
Sending shirts to readers/winners of competitions is a great idea because its indirect marketing. I know you sell t-shirts with your logo and thats a great way to market your blog/business.
