You are not allowed to twitter. Thats what twitter just told me when they suspended my account. Reason, I violated some of their terms, which was not stated. Now, I tried contact their support for about a week, no response. Well then I went over to Izeafest, and didn’t get a chance to write this post. But it was retarded because I took so much freaking time out to follow people, and I had like 1700+ followers. Anyways, since no one was replying, I deleted my account!

Because, I don’t want you guys to follow me at a place where I can’t even update my self.

Follow me at twitter everyone. Twitter is growing rapidly, but their terms are getting ridiculous. They are nofollowing the profile page, you can’t follow more than 2000 people etc etc. I think we should all just join Plurk instead.

Twitterfeed is something that I joined recently. Let me tell you a little about twitterfeed. Twitterfeed is a cool addon for twitter which checks your RSS feeds and put the latest posts on your twitter so your followers can read the blog post.

Twitterfeed also allows you to change the frequency of how often should the system check your feeds and publish the blog post. There are many other options such as prefixing the post and changing the display settings.

The only thing this addon requires is that you have an Open ID and a twitter account. Most of you already have an Open ID because you use alot of other services such as Technorati. I didn’t create another account, I just used my technorati account to verify.

I am posting once a day, therefore my blog feeds are set to be checked every 1 day. You should change it to whatever you like.

This is just another way you can use to add more exposure to your blog posts. I have already mentioned how much traffic I got from twitter since last month. The more followers you have, the better this tool is going to work for you.

A few weeks back, I wrote about myself joining twitter. Well since the end of the month is coming along, I wanted to share my results on twitter. First of all, I did spend quiet some time on following people and kind of got tired after following over 20,000. But in result, I got over 900 people who are following me, and I recieved a good amount of traffic.

Here was my strategy:

I am not a famous person like shoemoney or johnchow, so not many people will just follow me. Therefore, I decided to follow everyone else. Someone will follow me. Maybe I won’t get a 100% return in the beginning, but sooner or later I will get enough followers. Well I spend a good amount of time following people, and then now I have left it alone. Each day, I get over 30 – 40 new followers. So My strategy seems to be working.

Now Twitter increases traffic to my site, but I like it as a tool also. First, I am sure people can just link to their post in all of their new entries, but that would be spamming the service. So I don’t post a link to balkhis alot, it is in the sidebar though under my website, so people visit through there.

In the past month twitter sent a good amount of people. Screen shot below:

Now I think that is a good amount of visitors. Now I got one designing contract from twitter, and have had some good conversions from just visitors to loyal readers. I think it is a good tool, but don’t spend too much time on it. Otherwise you will get addicted like me

If you aren’t at twitter, then get twitter. Also remember, sometimes twitter can outrank your own site. I have seen some examples where people pick their site’s name, and twitter rank higher. I picked balkhis the name, and I am hoping that google stays in my favor.

Well twitter is the latest thing which is growing crazily. While I am not the first one to join Twitter, but I don’t want to be the last one to join either. I actually joined a while back, but I didn’t want to show my account when it was inactive. I went at it crazily, and I started following different people. My goal is to follow the most people anyone have on twitter, so let it be 15,000 ? or more ? eh

But in the past few days that I have started following people on my twitter, traffic to balkhis has increased. As you guys know whenever I start something like this, I do it to such an extent that other people start noticing that Balkhis exist, and then I let it carry its own flow. First it was MyBlogLog, then it was Entrecard, and now I am going into twitter.

I will update the stats and tell you how this month went with twitter, and how many followers do I have and how many people I am following. If you aren’t at twitter already, I recommend that you join it because it increases traffic to your site, and it will allow you to get to know people that you didn’t know before. Networking is what all this is about. It is a safeway of networking because you are not getting harrassed via IM because you are not sharing those and people can ask you simple questions like What are you Doing? and so on.

Ah well, I expected this to happen. For those of you who don’t know I am not a big fan of twitter. I tried it and never really liked it a whole lot. Twitter gained quiet fame among the bloggers like Myspace once did among everyone. I remember people selling myspace accounts for money and then those accounts were used for spammy advertisement. One of the reasons why I deleted my myspace account.

So let me announce the innovator of this idea, Andrew Baron with a PR 5 twitter page, is selling his twitter account on ebay. O yeah, the current bid of $1,125.

The winner of this auction gets my account with all of my followers. The account is in my name now, but the winner of the auction can pick any other name that’s available on Twitter for the transfer. For example, you could have http://www.twitter.com/x where x=any name thats not already taken. You can change it yourself at anytime too, one of the cool features about Twitter settings.

Heck atleast myspace was a little better than this. They atleast prevented changing that last name. I should start a few twitter accounts, and start following 2000 people, and I am sure 1500 will atleast come back and follow me. Great way to make some quick cash.

I really love my Twitter account but I feel like I haven’t been using it the way I want to. Quite honestly, I feel sorry for all of my followers because they wind up with my tweets in their timelines and I haven’t been able to utilize the medium the way I want to. I also participate in another Twitter account over on Rocketboom so I’m thinking I’ll post more over there and start up a new account to do what I want to do next.

Umm, and the next account you will use it the way You want to. I wonder what is the real deal there. You are sure utilizing now. Work hard and find people you want to follow. Utitlize and make more money. Props to you.

You best believe if I was in that list, I would never follow you again. I wonder who would … Selling your profile page is a great way to build reputation. If it was a website I would understand, but a profile page.
