1. When you first sign-up, Twitter will recommend some celebrities to follow. Don’t do it. I believe this has a lot to do with Twitters supposed high turnaround rate for new users. I mean, feel free to follow them later if you’re into that sort of thing, but they won’t follow you back and that closed, one-way streamis not the value of Twitter. I think in the end, this confuses new users about the service and gives them the wrong impression. I believe Twitter’s value lies in the reciprocal connections you can build with it. 2. Find people with similar interests and jump into the conversation. Search for topics that matter to you, personally. Check out the dozens of directories of people on Twitter out there and start following them. But don’t just sit there waiting for someone to talk to you. Find a conversation that might interest you.

Don’t feel obligated to do anything. If you feel like tweeting, tweet, if not don’t. If someone follows you, you don’t have to follow them back. Do what you think is best, and be considerate of others.

Hey, I am Syed Balkhi, The guy who is behind Balkhis Inc. I entered the industry back in 2002 not knowing a single thing. I barely spoke English at that time. In the past six years, my language barrier has been eliminated. Aside from English, now I also speak html, and php. Along with the languages I have also managed to master a few arts. Art of web-designing started when I first entered. Messing around with photoshop, I learned how to create my first web design. Now I founded a web designing firm Uzzz Productions. After running numerous amount of websites in various niche, I have mastered the art of web-development. Now I am compiling a resource of what I already know, and what I am learning on this blog. This resource is to help me if I ever need a guide to look back to, and it is help my fellow webmasters.

Very good advice, now to get everybody to read it.

Great! Thanks for sharing…
This is awesome! Thank you
Loving how you showed an example of a Twitter user for each point. I’m like you on Twitter, sometimes I’m in a Twittering mood, so I’ll Twitter. But when I’m not, I just don’t. You don’t have to update everyday, so don’t!
Most important (for Twitter) i think is to ensure that everything users say on Twitter is relevant to their particular audience. It’s easy to forget this, i think.
No thanks. Not yet for me.
This is a great post. I will retweet it for you and follow you. Follow me at @paulmclalin
Thank you for such nice tips!
I signed up for a twitter account a long time ago but I never really got into using it. This list should help make it a lot easier to get involved in the twitter community. Thanks!
Thanks for all the twitter tips! I’ll have to bookmark this for when I finally join the twitter world.
It’s a good thing that I saw these tips. I’m a new user (kind of) and these tips are sure to come in handy. My tip is: “Don’t follow everyone that follows you, especially when you’re new. Your first followers are most probably those who are tweeting around 50 times in an hour and you don’t want to go crazy!”
I love seeing people twitting about their personal life or just something funny that they observed and said. Not into those who spam the twits with their own posts feed (which I did last time lol)
I’ll try to follow these tips as I’m new to twitter… thanks!
Yeah twitter has swept the nation, and blogs everywhere! I can’t tell you the countless numbers of posts and articles I have read regarding twitter! This is an cool in that there are tips and guidelines from the individual twitter users.

Are there any benefits to using twitter for SEO? I don’t really understand the point of it I’m afraid. It seems just like an instant messaging program, or actually more like a group email, only I’m very limited in how much I can type and it gets sent out to the world rather than just whoever I put in the “To:” field. How is it any better than email? Thanks!
Thanks for all this Balk…
As a new user you might definitely want to find your friends. This way there’ll at least be some kind of “personal connection” to the site so you’ll be more likely to stay there longer.
At first, Twitter was very confusing for me. With some help online and some experience, it has become somewhat understandable. Now after reading this post, I am almost clear as to how to use Twitter effectively.
Twitter hasn’t proven to show me much additional profit.
