At first, Twitter was very confusing for me. With some help online and some experience, it has become somewhat understandable. Now after reading this post, I am almost clear as to how to use Twitter effectively.

As a new user you might definitely want to find your friends. This way there’ll at least be some kind of “personal connection” to the site so you’ll be more likely to stay there longer.

Are there any benefits to using twitter for SEO? I don’t really understand the point of it I’m afraid. It seems just like an instant messaging program, or actually more like a group email, only I’m very limited in how much I can type and it gets sent out to the world rather than just whoever I put in the “To:” field. How is it any better than email? Thanks!

I love seeing people twitting about their personal life or just something funny that they observed and said. Not into those who spam the twits with their own posts feed (which I did last time lol)

It’s a good thing that I saw these tips. I’m a new user (kind of) and these tips are sure to come in handy. My tip is: “Don’t follow everyone that follows you, especially when you’re new. Your first followers are most probably those who are tweeting around 50 times in an hour and you don’t want to go crazy!”
