It’s just like Notepad, with more features. So it’s practically still a text editor and not a full blown HTML editor, etc

I use Notepad++ at work on my Windows machine but the vi on a Linux (not much of a GUI there of course heh heh)

Thanks for sharing this list. On Mac i am using TextMate, and it really does a job, so i wont be changing him. But on Windows i am still with notepad which i will replace with Notepadd++ after this recommendation.
