Google Chrome to runover Firefox and IE
Did you see something? Google has released their version of the web browser. Name of this Google Product is Google Chrome. Google Chrome is an open-source browser. I decided what is the better way of writing this post, so I am writing it on Google Chrome, to see how it actually works.

Some of the Features it Includes
- Tabbed browsing where each tab gets its own process, leading to faster and more stable browsing. If one tab crashes, the whole browser doesn’t go down with it. (Best feature)
- A distinct user interface that places tabs on top of the browser window instead of right below the address bar. Not very crowded with menu bars and such.
- A new JavaScript engine built from the ground up for speed. It does load sites very fast.
- Malware and phishing lists that automatically update themselves and warn you of bad websites
- A default homepage that displays your most commonly used sites and other personalized information (I love this feature)
- Search bar is same as the url bar, so you can type either the search term or the url and it will take you there.
- Last But most Important feature, it displays Balkhis perfectly fine
This is only for Windows user for now as it is in the beta phase, but Google said that they are working on the Mac and Linux edition.
You ask me, Google Chrome is going to run over Firefox. Since this is an open-source browser, you will see a lot of developers, releasing their versions for this product. I personally like the look of Google Chrome, much better than the look of Firefox or IE.
I am not going to say that I didn’t expect this move. I knew that Google will come up with their own browser, but I didn’t expect it now. It was a surprise to me. But what I am wondering is Will Google stop funding Firefox? Because Firefox is their #1 competitor.
How does it affect Firefox? Well if you don’t know Google have funded Mozilla in the past 3 years with the heavy amount of 180 million USD. Which account for 85% of Mozilla’s total funding. Will Google still fund Firefox?
If they decide to, they will be funding their own competitor, and if they don’t will they be going down like Microsoft?
A lot of controversial questions that come to my mind. I might be silly to make a statement like that, but that is how Microsoft started as well. They went about getting into everything and eliminating their competitors. Then they received a slap from the government which left the Microsoft Corporation suffering till this day in some countries around the globe.
Why do you think I say that? Well because google is buying out or trying to buy out all of their competitors. If they can’t buy it out, then they make something better, so they completely eliminate their competitor.
Some examples:
Google Video was owned by Google, then they bought Youtube because their brand wasn’t getting enough exposure.
Wikipedia was one of the sources that everyone used to find answers. Wikipedia used to rank high for a lot of terms, and now the pattern is switching towards Knol as Google has announced it.
Orkut is Google’s Social Media baby, and they have been trying to buyout Facebook, so they eliminate one of their competition.
Just open your eyes, and you will see. All of Google Products get a very high Pagerank in the next update they are out. They automatically begin to rank higher than other products for the keywords. For instance if I search, Webmaster Blog, top two are google webmaster blog results, and those aren’t that resourceful.
Now, another thing they are doing is mixing their products. Such as Google analytics, Orkut, and more. You just need one google account, to login to everything else. Why would people want to make separate account. Soon, I am sure Google will implement Google login system in youtube as well. That is how Microsoft was slapped because they started implementing Internet Explorer into Windows which pretty much destroyed Netscape.
If Google continues to embed one login system and interrelating their products, will they go down like Microsoft? What do you think?

Hey, I am Syed Balkhi, The guy who is behind Balkhis Inc. I entered the industry back in 2002 not knowing a single thing. I barely spoke English at that time. In the past six years, my language barrier has been eliminated. Aside from English, now I also speak html, and php. Along with the languages I have also managed to master a few arts. Art of web-designing started when I first entered. Messing around with photoshop, I learned how to create my first web design. Now I founded a web designing firm Uzzz Productions. After running numerous amount of websites in various niche, I have mastered the art of web-development. Now I am compiling a resource of what I already know, and what I am learning on this blog. This resource is to help me if I ever need a guide to look back to, and it is help my fellow webmasters.

Chrome is right now having many bugs, and many negative points which am reporting on my blog, and as it is on the Beta stage yet, you would see it making changes very soon!
Techcrunch predicted that in 2 years it may reach the level of firefox, but do you think Mozilla will sit quite?
They would develop firefox into the further generation browser! And more competition.
My question is can FF do anything without Google’s Donation. Right now Google is their #1 supporter. With the Capital google have, they can hire all sort of talent and out power FF. Yes it is in the beta phase and it is so good. Imagine when it is out of the beta phase.
Now, the competition will rise when Firefox will get extra-funded by those who try to compete Google and are against their products.
And still, those who are using and loving Firefox would hardly shift to Chrome. That’s my belief.
You are right about the competition, but Microsoft would not fund FF anymore than they are required to by the gov’t. That eliminates Google’s #1 rivalry.
I know a lot of people are thinking about switching to chrome because of the interface, but they are holding back because of the addons, and soon google will get that as well.
They are 2 face son of bitches. They tell Firefox they will help with money and then decide to make their own browser.
hehe you are not the first one to tell me that. Got a few IMs that said it too lol.
Here is the answer of Mozilla to Chrome already,
http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/09/03/mozilla-fights-back-with-new-firefox-benchmarks/
Didn’t i say Mozilla is having a great team working at their end?
hehe … but the sad part is that Google Chrome in its beta is doing better than FF. By then the stable release will be out and it should be the best
Just what we all need… another browser to worry about when designing our websites.
It looks like they are having major bug and security issues though.
Not like Google to come out with something that sucks. ahem (adsense) lol.
Of course not.
Google Chrome is not doing any better than FF, seriously.
You liked the interface?
Strange !!!
It’s still far awway from being accepted as a primary browser.
and a note:
You can link your Google account with YouTube now.
BTW just for fun, type about:memory in Chrome’s address bar and see the fun.
Other command to checkout is about:stats
And if somebody wants the full offline installer of Chrome, get it from http://rapidshare.com/files/142129854/chrome_installer.exe
hmm I don’t know what was suppose to be exciting about that. I am just getting google results thats all.
Who cares about the tabbed browsing, at least Balkhis works fine in it
hehe thats what I said
I have seen this came out, but have not tried it yet. I think it probably needs a little time to develop some tools for it like firefox did.
yes … pr toolbar, alexa and all the other stuff that I have on FF.
