Wordpress 2.5 is here
Alright everyone, Lets get on upgrading your old wordpress blogs to this new superb one. Yes as I mentioned couple days back, that I was beta-testing Wordpress 2.5 which I am very proud of myself as I reported a few bugs :), but now with the work of the Wordpress Team and support of the Beta Testers, the stable version of Wordpress 2.5 is out now.
Most importantly in this version, Wordpress has changed their backend entirely. The admin panel looks completely different. There are some very useful plugins. One click upgrade for all plugins if you allow (Did I say that I love this… Well I do). Along with the backend look, as you can see that Wordpress got a new design for their website which matches the admin backend. There has been alot of upgrades and It makes no sense for me to repost it when they are already here on the wordpress site.

Balkhis is already updated. Other projects will be updated by the crew within 24 hours. I suggest you should try the new version as well.

yea you no longer have to go and download the plugin and upload it. Now the server does it automatically. I found that pretty cool.

I upgraded mine and looking great. I love the media content provided with it
I like the new admin panel view. Looks clean and also with more feature for widgets, its awesome.
So just how hard is it to upgrade to the new version from the old one. I have some plug ins installed and I am always paranoid about my site deciding to crash.
just make a backup of your database … and go ahead and reupload the wordpress files. When you login to the admin panel it will ask to update the database do that and It will work. None of the plugins on my blog crashed when i moved, and I was actually testing before the stable version came out.
